Youth Civic and Political Participation in Karachi
Description
This project examined the factors influencing youth engagement in civic and political activities in Karachi, focusing on individuals aged 1529. The purpose was to generate insights that could inform educators, policymakers, and youth organizations about how to foster inclusive and meaningful engagement. Key findings revealed that educational background, gender, and type of institution significantly impact participation levels, and that civic awareness positively correlates with political involvement. The study contributes to ongoing discussions on youth empowerment and democratic participation in Pakistan. It provides evidence-based recommendations for designing civic education programs and creating platforms that encourage youth to participate actively in shaping their communities.
